you CAN play GTA 5 on Intel Core 2 Duo, Dual-Core processor regardless of any model or so-called gen it is, provided you must have 4GB of RAM and a fast running hard disk at least of 5000rpm. the power supply should be there around a minimum of 450Watts. You must have a 2GB GDDR3, GDDR5 of Graphics card it may be Nvidia or AMD.
running the game on old PC with these specs:
Intel Core2Duo, Dual-Core Minimum (2 Cores)
(2GB)4GB DDR3 RAM
2GB Nvidia GT 710, GT 730= 2 GB DDR3,DDR5 GPU
450Watts PSU
SATA Hard disk 5000- 5400rpm
please, guys, use have GPU like GT1030, GTX750TI, GTX550Ti, etc
you don't have a GPU, don't take the risk of playing the game or else the CPU Was would overheat and The Loss of CPU
Intel dual-core, cor2duo Run Any Of Those Motherbrod chipsets like G41, G31 but G41 was better performance compear to G31 Chipset But I would better recommend upgrading to a Core 2 Quad as quad-core and use G41 Motherboard would be better.
